Too different to be Similar?

     The Juvie Three by Gordan Korman is a book about three juvenile delinquents who are given a second chance. They were put in the "Halfway House"  program in which three juvenile delinquents live together in one house with one other person, who, of course, has to keep track of them. When you first look at all three if the delinquents, they all seem drastically different. But as you get farther and farther into the story, similarities pop up in places that you least expect them.
      I think that the two boys who are the most alike are Arjay and Gecko. They both really want to do their time and go on with their life. They don't want to get in trouble again. But it's the very last boy that could just manage to screw it all up. His name is Terence. He doesn't care about following the rules at all. But think that even he has some similarities with the other two boys. For example, He and Gecko both have a past filled with crime and many other troubles. I think that, possibly in the future of this book, that this similarity could possibly tie those two boys together. And even though no similarities between Terence and Arjay, I have no doubt in my mind that it will show itself soon.
     Not only did I find similarities between those three boys, I found similarities between the boys and their caretaker too. In the caretakers past, he was very much like the boys. He understands the boys. For example, when he found Gecko and Terence outside (they weren't supposed to be outside) he did not get angry at them. All he said was "I did some time inside-in juvie, like you. Sometimes  you need to feel the sun on your skin to remind you you're alive." (page 59)
     Find out all of these similarities made me realize something. Similarities can be found even with the most different people. Even the two most different of people could be friends. And not only is that a lessened the could be applied in the story of a book, It could be applied in real life too.
